Photographers play a significant part at every wedding, to be sure, as there will never be another
opportunity to capture those moments just the way the bride and groom envision them. At larger
events like Brandon and Emma’s ceremony and subsequent reception, I would be lost without my
second shooter. Abby has an incredible eye for the moments and details
that matter, and she is the perfect complement to my own skills behind the camera.

Senior session at Durham Bulls Park / American Tobacco Campus
In this mid-September photo shoot, I worked with a young man whose love for baseball and fast cars emanated out of nearly every pore. Since he was working at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park while still attending school, it made sense to tie in his passions with a casual session at the ballpark.

The knowing smiles on this couple’s faces tell of a not-so-distant future full of promise,
hope, and joy. There is so much goodness in store for them, and their elation for the
family they’re building together is palpable. Maternity sessions are so very special.

At only two weeks old – right at the sweet spot for newborn photography – this
handsome guy went against the grain and stayed awake for much of our time together.
As such, my attempts at wraps were unsuccessful, so we embraced the pacifier and
worked with his shifting needs.

This smiling senior had an air of confidence and authenticity that radiates from his photos. The way he
carried himself was unmatched. Following a simple prompt – “walk down this pier like you would in the
hall on the first day of your senior year” – he owned the dock, striding with pride and poise.
